Vision City Waigani
(VCW) will come alive in 2012 when the projects and activities planned
for the town square takes shape. Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Group, through
its subsidiary company, Dynasty Development Ltd (DDL), is the master
developer of the compact 10-hectare integrated mixed development of
the Vision City, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The first phase of
this property development project is Mega Mall, a 3-storey shopping
complex which has commenced construction since May, 2008. The 31,435
m2 shopping complex, which shall be the largest in the capital, comprises
52 units of retail lots with rental area of between 110 and 390 sq
metres. Rentals are priced monthly at K38 per sq m and up. The Mall's
anchor tenant, RH Hypermarket is keen to tap into the growing niche
retail developments, including lifestyle shopping malls, concept stores
and wholesale business, especially in the groceries and garment trade
in the capital city. RH Hypermarket has grown in popularity as a one-stop
shopping destination since its opening in 2003.
Vision City Waigani with a 3-storey branded shopping complex and the
upcoming projects (a luxurious hotel, top class serviced apartments
and an exclusive intelligent office tower) will definitely transform
Waigani skyline in the very near future.

Site Characteristics:
The site contains an area of 9.2 hectares. It is currently
zoned for commercial use to include buildings designed for
shops or office uses.
The site is within the Waigani City Centre. It is bounded
on the west by Waigani Drive, on the south by Sir John Guise
Drive and on the north by the Toliman Circuit.
The Waigani Drive is the major link to the residential suburbs
of Tokarara, Waigani, Morata and Gerehu to the north and Sir
John Guise Drive provides a major link to Waigani City Centre
from Waigani Drive. The Later has been planned to link the
Poreporena Arterial and the Jackson's International Airport.
