10 years (1996

Malaysia
In Sarawak, during the years 1997 and 1999, RH Group
strengthened its media operations by using fibre optics
transmission technology, and operating print factories
in Kuching and Sibu. Sin Chew Daily thus became the
first national newspaper to be printed in Kuching
via fibre optics transmission technology, enabling
readers in Sarawak to get the same news as published
in Peninsular Malaysia.
Hong Kong, USA and Canada
RH Group leveraged on its media experience and depth
through its purchase of Hong Kong's Ming Pao Group,
a company that also has printing operations in the
USA and Canada. |

In March 2003, Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi
Tan Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud declared the Launching
of Planted Forests Project at Rejang Pelagus, Kanowit,
Sibu. The Project is our response to the Government's
call to establish more than a milliion hectares of
forest plantations in Sarawak. |

It is involved in the manufacturing of veneer, plywood,
particleboard, sawn timber, timber moulding and finger-joint

In 2004, Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad was listed
